But as a compromise, I have got a very simple and easy way out...I can tell you one thing, I do have a case which does not require any law change but just the interpretation of it.
Make sure that 5882 is successful. If it proceeds, I will back down. It is a shame that among 25K members raising 5K becomes a challenge.
This goes on to show there is no community. If there is not community then I have to look after my interest.

Average worldwide processing time for employment based green card applications is 1.43 years (Priority Date to GC approval).
In simple words, it takes 5.5 years to wrap up the 1 year GC demand for Indian applicants presuming there is no overflow from any other country GC visa quota.

Allow me to ask you this. Why do you waste your time like this? Don't you have anything better to do? This suri guy is a jerk fresh out of PMP some class, and he wants to see a "project plan". Let me send him a power point presentation and Microsoft Projects file about the "project plan" which he wants to see.
Look, you can waste your time for as long as you want, but there will always be jerks who think that advocacy for EB issues is a "project", and at the end of budget and scheduled time, he wants to see the desired output. That' a narrow mind-set of PMP certification, which often do not apply in advocacy campaigns. It's ok, it took me time to understand this, but I had to do my own research to understand this. suri has to do his own research to learn more than his pmp class. You cannot explain it to this suri guy. So my advice to you is, please don't waste your time.
Also, who knows if this suri guy is an agent of some tracker site, just playing his charm to dampen our spirits so that all we do is track our soft LUDs.

I couldn't tell from the tone of your message if you were reprimanding me or offering me an advice in good faith. :) Anyway, the optimist in me believes that it was the latter. Thanks for the advice but I do not believe I am wasting my time by answering queries like these from members who think IV is out there to do them a favor at each step without them participating in the march towards the ultimate goal. It's all in one's perception, I guess. Even if I am successful in changing the mindset of one individual in a month, I will happily 'waste' my time on this forum :)

All the posts above are good coping measures, and some are used to actually deal with depressive symptoms. However they have missed the MOST important one! You used the term clinical depression. Please if you truly feel that way seek help, and seek it now, talk to your doctor or to a councilor. Though I won't go into details, I am speaking from personal experience. Sometimes things build up so much that we slip into such a state where we go beyond sadness and frustration and move to true depression.
From a site on depression: Depression is a disorder that affects your thoughts, moods, feelings, behavior and even your physical health. People used to think it was "all in your head" and that if you really tried, you could "snap out of it" or just "get over it." But doctors now know that depression is not a weakness, and it's not something you can treat on your own. Depression is a medical disorder with a biological and chemical basis.
Sometimes a stressful life event triggers depression. Other times depression seems to occur spontaneously with no identifiable specific cause. Depression is much more than grieving or a bout of the blues.
Depression, true clinical depression, is nothing you can cure with a trip to somewhere else, or having people point out to you how much better you are off than this person or that one. I called them and reached an IO officer and told her that I see my checks are cashed and there is a receipt number behind the check but its illegible and can she confirm the numbers for me. She asked for DOB, address, full name etc. and then gave me the receipt numbers for EAD, AP and AOS.
But if your checks are cashed then the receipt notice must be in the mail.:)

4. Showed how illegals are being rewarded for breaking the laws, and how the legals are being punished by current bill.
Guys, it may take a while, but do e-mails and faxes. The hardest fax to reach was sen. Reid's office.

Just want to highlight a positive point. June visa bulletin shows that NONE of the visas (or very negligible) are going to be wasted this fiscal year for India. Shows increased USCIS efficiency. Hopefully it will be true for World and China as well.
