Looks like they are processing EAD and AP (in the mail room itself:) ) along with receipts. No point in touching the same application twice or thrice. If you get a receipt then you should also get EAD and AP:):).
It's very frustrating.. TSC is sitting on our application or what? Approx 30K application are there for July 2nd filer including NSC->TSC transfer(per old NYT report). We see reporting of 1 or 2 receipting a day then few quite days. :mad::mad::mad:
It will approx 60 days since filing and still waiting for Receipt. What a heck..

My suggestion would be that probably doctors have discovered metastatic cancer and have give you the prognosis.
For your visa
It seems you have already cleared most hurdles
1) Talk to a immigration lawyer
2) Talk to USCIS and ask for "Humanitarian Expedite". Call or fax them the document ask you doctor to write the letter
3) get media attention: write to local congressman,senator and the local media TV stations to expedite your case
4)Dont delay any day. Once you create an expediate request they are bound to act on it.(by either rejecting it or accepting it). The point is make an official request without delay

We simply have no idea who they are, where they came from, and most importantly - why they entered our country illegally. I believe we must increase the size of the Border Patrol to 18,000 agents, we must actively construct a double barrier wall and utilize technological innovations, such as unmanned aerial vehicles, to conduct surveillance operations along the remaining border.
Once we have secured our borders, we must turn our attention to the more than 12 million illegal immigrants already residing here. There are varying proposals currently being debated here in Washington as to what is the most economically feasible approach to addressing this situation. I do not support amnesty for those individuals who have broken our laws and will work to deport those individuals who have become a financial and social burden on our society. I believe that we must establish an Employer Verification System that is easy to use and provides timely feedback to employers. Any employer that continues to knowingly employ illegal aliens should be assessed heavy fines and penalties.

i was not able to attend the IV rally..emergency reasons..but still its fair for me to suffer..
its highly unlikely we can see a reform. I agree with logiclife's post..we deserve what we are getting into..
of the 800K applications u saw applying for AOS..even if 10K had come to DC rally it'd made a huge diff..
we all do line up for GCs like herds but dont have the guts to attend..
i know of so many ppl who say "all this rally is ridiculous".. and i dont pity them those who wait for 10 years..becoz u deserve to suffer and will continually suffer..

Did anyone get their physical Cards without getting CPO message ?
I have recd the I-797C Approval notice on the 11th but I have not recd the physical cards as yet. BTW I did not get any welcome e-mail or CPO mail - I directly got 485 Approval e-mail and that is all.
you may want to make sure "CRIS" emails are not going in SPAM folder. I had the same case (not for 485 :-) , i have long way to go) for my EAD and AP renewals.

Let me first of all thank you for taking a strong stand for your highly skilled employees at this critical time. I am on an H1b visa and am a certified professional working in this country. I just wanted to ask you a few question. The biotech firms employ a lot of people on H1b visas. How come none of them, excluding Genentech, is included in the compete america group's letter to the congress. I strongly feel and pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations, other biotech companies should also be included to stand for the H1b visa and green card issue for their employees. Seccond question I would like to ask is about the provision to renew the H1b in increment of 3 years each after the 6th year, which apparently has been taken off in this new CIR bill. This is a very technical issue and employers would not want to loose the trained employees after the 6th year period. It does not make any sense to refuse renewability of the H1b after 6 years since by that time that employee has already become an asset to the company or this nation. Please make sure to stand for that particular issue. H1b should be renewable in increments of 3 years each if the GC has been filed by the 5th year. Let me thank you for successfully campaigning for increasing the H1b numbers and hopefully this will enable me to move from my present acadamic position (Ast Prof at XXXXXX) to an Industry. < 40K GCs were available on June 12 2007: all categories were current.
If there is a law to prevent acceptance of ALL AOS's on Oct 1 (when 140K GCs are available) then that law was violated on June 12 2007.
If there is no law to prevent acceptance of AOS's on June 12 (when < 40K GCs were available) then all categories should have been current on Oct 1 2005 and Oct 1 2006.

I am July Filer too I have not received evn a single receipt for anything. I called USCIS they said it is taking from 90 to 120 days so wait and call.
I had long dely in gettting my 485/EAD/AP receipts from USCIS and I wrote to my local congressman. It really worked and got the receipt numbers from congressman office.
Try to write to your local congressman and explain your situation in one page and give them your package tracking information.

IV effort needs 50 thousand dollars to make sure we can meet our immediate needs and also make a big impact via this advocacy day event. There are several large and small expenses like booking hotel conference room near Capitol hill for organizing the event/situation room, Organizing reception for lawmakers, their staffers, and administration officials to attend, creating advocacy packets for each appointment taken, advocacy firm fees for helping out with a large event like this etc. We can plan more ideas like Press briefing event, full page ads in national newspapers if we can have sufficient resources. This event will most certainly bring our issues to the national center stage and help us get much needed immigration relief in the months ahead. IV is starting this campaign ahead of time to better plan and execute our advocacy day (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/forum85-action-items-for-everyone/1901186-action-item-advocacy-days-in-washington-dc-in-april-2011-a.html).
We are a small grassroots organization with a strong resolve and when we all pool in our energies, intelligence and resources; we can all collectively create wonders. Been in the US since 1998, have an EB-2 PD of 2001, have played by the rules all along. Still no GC... And, the dates are going back to 2000 from the new year.. I've lost hopes...
I'm pretty close to getting clinical depression because of this game played by USCIS, Labor Dept, FBI and my own bad luck.
SKILL bill, OMNIBUS, etc. comes and goes. IV does seem to be doing things to lobby for the community, but let's face one reality. Like a news article said, no one in congress or senate wants to touch immigration even with a long pole until 2009.
The US has been very good to me (other than the GC part), more than my home country (India) which is why I'm still here.
Have invested too much of time in this country to just pack up and go. Just curious if any of you feel this way? How do you handle such depressing feelings?
--Hopelessness, negative thinking and depression are real feelings. Many people live in denial. Some realize and never express it till it consumes them completely. Some express it to their relief but may suffer from not knowing the reason causing depressed feelings.
In your case , you are not in denial, you are expressing it and most importantly, you have identified the reason behind feeling hopeless and depressed.
If you can do anything to solve the problem, then do it without worrying about the outcome. If the situation is beyond your control, you are not going to solve it by worrying more about it.
Be in control. Don't let it control you.Keep yourself occupied by doing things that you like and entertain yourself.

I'm pretty close to getting clinical depression because of this game played by USCIS, Labor Dept, FBI and my own bad luck.
SKILL bill, OMNIBUS, etc. comes and goes. IV does seem to be doing things to lobby for the community, but let's face one reality. Like a news article said, no one in congress or senate wants to touch immigration even with a long pole until 2009.
The US has been very good to me (other than the GC part), more than my home country (India) which is why I'm still here.
Have invested too much of time in this country to just pack up and go. Just curious if any of you feel this way? How do you handle such depressing feelings?
--Hopelessness, negative thinking and depression are real feelings. Many people live in denial. Some realize and never express it till it consumes them completely. Some express it to their relief but may suffer from not knowing the reason causing depressed feelings.
